Andrea Pradilla received her Bachelor´s Degree in Law from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Colombia, post-graduate Specialization in International Business Law from the Universidad de los Andes, and a Master´s Degree with Honors in International Relations and International Development from Georgetown University in the United States, where she also has obtained the Specialization with honors in International Business Diplomacy.
Before joining the GRI (Global Reporting Initiative), Andrea Pradilla led the National Contact Point for the OECD Guidelines for MNEs. Likewise, she spearheaded the inclusion of sustainable development aspects in the Colombian trade negotiations and co-authored the first draft of the national guidelines promoting corporate sustainability.
Previously, Andrea worked as a consultant in Corporate Social Responsibility and Development at Wise Solutions LLC in Washington DC, where she was responsible for, among other things, the creation and strengthening of social investment strategies for multinational companies, foundations, and non-profit organizations in Asia, Europe, the United States, and Latin America. She was also part of the Albright Stonebridge Group and the International Labor Rights Forum in Washington DC. Prior to these positions and professional engagements, she served as advisor to the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development in Colombia.
Since 2014, Andrea Pradilla is the Director of GRI in Latin America where she leads regional work around corporate sustainability strategy, ESG and reporting. Andrea is also a professor of corporate sustainability at the CESA Business School and Universidad de los Andes in Colombia. She has been a speaker and lecturer at more than 300 international, regional, and national events, including the World Economic Forum, the United Nations Forum on Business and Human Rights, COP20, IDB Invest Week, World Bank Regional Conferences, among others.
